Srinivasan Sampath is an Indian electrochemist, nanotechnologist, and professor of the department of chemistry at the Indian Institute of Science. He is known for his studies on supercapacitors and nano bimetallics. His research is focused on understanding interfacial properties involving novel materials and modified surfaces. We use a combination of spectroscopy, electrochemistry, and microscopy to understand the interfacial properties. Coupled with in situ techniques based on electrochemical FTIR, Raman electrochemistry is routinely used to understand various aspects. He is an elected fellow of the Indian National Science Academy and the Indian Academy of Sciences (2009).
